Puppy Cookies (print these instructions)
What You Need to Make Puppy Cookies:
1. Nutter Butter cookies
2. White chocolate chips
3. Large milk or dark chocolate chips
4. Caramel squares
5. Black food marker
6. Peanut butter flavored candy melts
8. Cutting board
Lay out the cookies that you would like to decorate
Use the caramel squares to mold the puppy ears with your fingers. You will need 2 ears for each cookie. We used ½ a caramel square for each ear.
Cut off the tips of the chocolate chips. Each cookie will need 2 white chips (for the eyes) and one brown chip (for the nose).
Use the black food marker to draw a black pupil on each of the white chips. Now you have all the pieces for your puppy!
Place a few candy melts in a microwave safe bowl and melt them in the microwave following the instructions on the candy melt bag. You will need about 1 candy melt per cookie. Use the oven mitts when taking the bowl out of the microwave.
Now it’s time to assemble! Attach the ears, eyes and nose to your cookie using the melted candies as a glue to put your puppy together. So cute! Enjoy your sweet treats!!
