SWEET IDEAS for a Virtual Valentine's Day Party

SWEET IDEAS for a Virtual Valentine's Day Party

We can’t think of a better way to spend Valentines Day than hosting a party with your girl squad!  Even though you might not be able to get together with your friends this year, you can still have a fun get together virtually. Here are some fun games, gifts and sweet treats to share with your besties!

Play a Game!

Girl Talk
Girl Talk is a super fun way to ask and answer questions with your friends! Download the “Daily Decision Wheel” in the app store, enter in your questions and you are ready to play! On the night of your virtual party, go into the app and spin the wheel. Read the question, and have everyone answer it… super easy, super fun! This is a great way to get to know your friends a little bit better.
Ball Talk
If you can get together in person, blow up a beach ball and write questions all over the ball. Toss the ball to a friend, she must answer the question closest to her left thumb. Then she throws it to another person to answer the next question. Keep playing until all questions are answered and everyone has a turn.

Secret Cupid!

Everyone writes a little something special about each person in the group. Then go around and read one of your special messages and let the group guess who it is about. Keep taking turns going around until everyone has gone and has said something nice about everyone at the party.

Secret Cupid Swap!

A Secret Cupid swap is just like a Secret Santa swap- all of the fun comes with the surprise! Everyone gets one person in the group to get or make a present for. Keep it a secret! Make sure to include a note or poem letting them know how special they are to you.  Ask a parent to help you mail it or drop it off to your secret bestie so they can get it in time for the party. You can bake something, or make a special card, or homemade friendship bracelet out of string etc. The possibilities are endless. At the party everyone opens their gift and reads their special card as they try to guess who gave it to them.
You can also just make a virtual card to send to your friends to let them know how special they are to you.

No Party is Complete without Desert!

Finish of the night with a Cake in a Mug! Here is a simple recipe to try for a fun-fetti mug cake that you can frost and decorate yourself. This recipe is super easy to make. You can find tons of recipes just like this one on Pinterest as well to mix up the flavors! Bring some extra yummy candies and sprinkles to decorate your cake mug, and then dig in! Make sure to ask a parent before using the microwave.
4 tbsp all purpose flour
¼ tsp baking powder
2 tsp sugar
3 tbsp milk
½ tbsp vegetable oil
 tsp vanilla extract
1 ½ tsp sprinkles
INSTRUCTIONS

In a microwave-safe mug, add flour, baking powder, sugar, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix with a small whisk until batter is completely smooth.

Stir in 1 tsp of sprinkles. Sprinkle remaining ½ tsp of sprinkle on top.

Cook in the microwave for about 1 minute.

Let cake cool a few minutes before eating. Cake is best right after it has cooled.

Top with Frosting or whipped cream and more sprinkles if desired.

The most important part is to make sure you have fun with what works for you and your besties! Spread the love this Valentines Day!!
